Short, and written to be read. Using Quad means agreeing to these.

Be who you say you are

Your university address gets you in the door; your name, school and role are yours to state. Quad works because the person who replies to you is really there. Claiming to be somebody you are not is the one thing that breaks it for everybody.

What belongs here

Work you are doing, help you need, things happening on your campus, and the people you want to do them with. Not advertising, not recruitment spam, and nothing you would not say to somebody's face.

Other people

Do not post somebody else's contact details, photograph or location. Do not take what somebody shared here and move it somewhere they did not choose. If somebody makes you uncomfortable, you can block them or report them from any post, profile or reply, and a person reads every report.

Your work stays yours

What you write is yours. Quad shows it to the people you chose to show it to and claims no ownership of it. You can export it or delete it from your profile at any time.

When an account is removed

Accounts that impersonate somebody, harass people, or exist to advertise are suspended. That decision is made by a person, it is written to an audit log, and you can ask about it.

What Quad owes you

A clear account of how your data is handled, which is on the privacy page, and no surprises: no trackers, no data sold, no third parties in the page you are reading.
